Beaches

Lapped by the tiny waves of the Aegean, the beach is the centre of action. Whether you just want to soak up the sun with a good book, or join in a game of beach volleyball, the friendly atmosphere will give you the 'feel good' factor on Day One.

Things to do during your holidays in Hisaronu

If you enjoy the beach then it isn't the best sand in the world but the scenic perfection cannot be challenged! The drive down the mountain to Olu Deniz beach (takes just 5 minutes, your first view of the beach from the minibus will forever have a place in your mind, never to be forgotten. There's no need to get up at the crack of dawn to for cool drinks, snacks and ice creams throughout the day there are many small cafes along the length of the beach, simply decorated with colorful tubs of exotic flowers.

Sightseeing

Kaya Köy (the ghost town), this abandoned village is a 20 minute bus drive. I just love this place. So much atmosphere, peace and tranquility (until the tour buses arrive). Don't forget your camera or suncream if you visit during the heat of the day.
Planned excursions are offered such as a trip to Dalyan to see the famous Lycian Rock Tombs, possibly paddle in the sulphur mud baths or indulge in a boat trip to Butterfly Valley that will take your breath away. As well as the usual water sports at the beach, other activities have been developed in the area such as mountain biking, quad biking, horse riding and for the really adventurous paragliding at Olu Deniz giving you stunning views over the lagoon  will undoubtedly cast a spell on you . The area is also wonderful for walking and we recommend a stroll from Hisaranu or Ovacik to the ghost village of Kayakoy, a village abandoned by the Greeks with over 3,000 uninhabited houses that is really worth seeing during your stay in Hisaronu.

Shopping

Enthusiastic shoppers will pleasure a trip to the famous Tuesday market in Milas, where an amazing  bargain of  carpets and other traditional goods, such as fine lace work and leather goods are at your disposal .Find a wide variety of   small cafes,  in Hisaronu  which serve local food at amazingly low prices offering you the best variety that you could ever think of .

Nightlife

With parties  held in Barumba and an interesting nightlife , Hisaronu is inviting you to experience some of the most unforgettable  holidays of your life. With a variety  of cocktail bars with outdoor or balcony seating you may find yourselves having your drink and relaxing at the best part of Turkey . Time Out Bar is famous for its karaoke and the staffs wicked display of Turkish dancing and is really worth visiting .

Hisaronu culture

. During the first years of the republic, the government invested a large amount of resources into fine arts such as paintings, sculpture and architecture. This was done as both a process of modernisation and of creating a cultural identity. Be aware that the city's most famous relic from the days of the Roman Empire is an exceptionally well preserved amphitheatre. Because of the different historical factors playing an important role in defining a Turkish identity, the culture of Turkey is an interesting combination of clear efforts to be "modern" and Western, alongside a desire to maintain traditional religious and historical worth .
